I read the book ERAGON at least three times! Written by Christopher Paolini the book is about a young farm boy named Eragon who lives with his uncle. His life changes when he finds a polished blue stone in the mountains. He is puzzled about it until a dragon hatches from the stone….which is actually a dragon egg!
Eragon and the dragon-Saphira communicate telepathically.
All the dragons and dragon riders were wiped out by an evil king –Galbatorix (also a dragon rider) except for three eggs. On finding out about Eragon and his dragon he sends his servants to capture them. Eragon’s uncle gets killed and Eragon and Saphira flee their hometown.
Eragon seeks revenge with the help of an old storyteller, and his magical powers. He battles and defeats Durza-a shade (evil spirit in the form of a body), saves the dwarves and many humans and becomes a hero.
I loved this book though many words were difficult to understand and pronounce! It is full of action, adventure and fantasy. I have read the next two books in this series and am eagerly awaiting the fourth.
I tell everyone even adults to read this book at least once.
